Luke 4:18 New International Version (NIV)
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.
My son, Joshua and I are going to Africa for a month this fall. The purpose of the trip is to train ministers in Africa about the Gospel. These ministers can’t afford to go to seminary, so they rely on people like us to train them. Gary Logsdon is the head pastor. He has roughly 850 ministers under him in Kenya, Zimbabwe and Uganda. We will be moving from city to city. There are a number of costs that we incur in travelling through Africa. The costs include paying people in Africa, renting facilities and paying for materials. Gary is a Holy Spirit led minister who has had miraculous healing while in Africa. One person was cured of aids when he was given two weeks to live by a physician. Another, who was paralyzed from the waste down and was healed on stage. There are many other healings that have occurred. We are also educating ministers about Echo Farms and farming techniques that will allow these ministers and their church members to better farm the land and to be able to better support themselves. Echo Farms has a location in Zimbabwe and it is our hope to teach these people how to maximize the productivity of their land.
